Important Notice for Myanmar Passport Holders

Malaysia will implement the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Visa Exemption. Under this framework, Myanmar passport holders traveling to Malaysia for social visits will be allowed visa-free entry for up to 14 days, effective 1 October 2025. Applicants who have already obtained a visa will be entitled to stay in Malaysia for up to 30 days.

VDR for Afghanistan Nationals

Afghanistan nationals must obtain a Visa With Reference (VDR) before applying for an eVISA, unless they hold a Diplomatic or Official passport, or an International passport for official, GLC, or business purposes. All others must apply for a VDR through the nearest Malaysian Embassy or High Commission.

Visa Exemption for People’s Republic Of China (PRC)

Effective July 17, 2025, Chinese citizens holding Ordinary or Public Affairs passports valid for at least 6 months are EXEMPTED from visa requirements when entering Malaysia for social visits.
